SELF GUIDED INFERENCE-BASED COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY COURSE
Welcome to Zen Psychological Center’s OCD course! This course is designed to help individuals with OCD find relief through Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT). Unlike traditional approaches, ICBT does not involve purposely provoking anxiety through exposure-based techniques. Instead, this is a cognitive-focused treatment that addresses OCD at its root: the obsession. By treating OCD at the cognitive level, compulsions naturally resolve without the need to intentionally create discomfort or anxiety, allowing for a compassionate and effective path to recovery.
This training is a comprehensive two-in-one course, offering both the foundational ICBT model for individuals with OCD and a specialized section tailored to those who are neurodivergent, including individuals with Autism, ADHD, or Sensory Processing Disorder.
NEURODIVERGENT OCD MODEL
The neurodivergent-focused portion of the training explores how traits associated with neurodivergence can contribute to the development of obsessional stories, which drive compulsive behaviors. These stories often stem from unique cognitive, sensory, and emotional experiences of neurodivergent individuals, making it critical to address these specific challenges for effective treatment.

This section dives into how neurodivergent traits—such as heightened sense of social justice, rejection sensitivity, and struggles with identity—can fuel obsessional narratives. These narratives lead to compulsive behaviors as individuals attempt to navigate or resolve these overwhelming experiences. By addressing the underlying obsessional stories tied to these traits, this training provides practical strategies to reduce compulsive behaviors in neurodivergent individuals, fostering greater clarity and resilience.
This course offers a compassionate and tailored approach to OCD recovery that recognizes the unique needs of both neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals. Whether you are seeking relief for yourself or a professional looking to deepen your understanding of OCD treatment, this course will equip you with the tools you need for lasting change
